AHelp is a hub of 30+ AI writing, editing and checking tools for students and researchers, including a paraphraser, grammar checker, plagiarism checker and AI detector. Plans start free, with paid tiers from about $4 a month on annual billing. Use the checking tools freely, but follow your school's rules on AI writing.
AHelp covers three stages of writing. For drafting it offers an AI essay writer, literature review generator, AI source finder, and sentence and paragraph generators. For writing it has a paraphraser, summarizer, passive-to-active voice converter and an AI to Human rewriter. For editing it adds a grammar checker, plagiarism checker, AI detector and paragraph checker. Many tools work in other languages, including Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian and Korean, and a Chrome extension brings them into the browser. The company says its models were trained on academic papers and publishes an Academic Integrity Statement.
| Plan | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 3 credits a day, basic plagiarism check and AI detection, ads |
| Essential | $4.17/mo billed annually ($9.95 monthly) | 600 credits a day, no ads |
| Productive | $8.33/mo billed annually ($19.95 monthly) | 6,000 credits a day, unlimited plagiarism check and AI detection |
You can cancel anytime in account settings, and the company offers a money-back guarantee.
Where it holds up: one account replaces several separate subscriptions, and the pre-submission checks (grammar, plagiarism, AI-written content) are the most defensible use of it. Annual pricing is low, versions exist for several languages, and the Academic Integrity Statement and refund policy are public.
Where it falls short: the free plan allows only 3 credits a day and shows ads, so regular use needs a paid plan. Detection and plagiarism results are indicative only, and detectors can be wrong in either direction. Tools like the AI to Human rewriter and the AI essay writer can break school or journal rules on AI use.
Skip the essay writer and AI to Human rewriter if your institution bans AI-assisted writing, because using them can count as misconduct. If you need citations grounded in published research and journal formatting checks, a research-focused tool like Paperpal is a closer match. And if you only need a one-off grammar check, a free checker may be enough.
For academic writing and citations, see Paperpal and Jenni AI. For detection and humanizing, see Winston AI and Originality.ai, or browse the Best AI Tools to Detect and Humanize AI-Written Text collection.
Is AHelp free? There is a free plan with 3 credits a day, a basic plagiarism check and AI detection, and ads.
How much does AHelp cost? Essential is $4.17 a month on annual billing and Productive is $8.33 a month on annual billing.
Are the AI detector results reliable? They are indicative only. Detectors can flag human writing or miss AI text, so do not treat a score as proof.
Is it safe to use for school work? The checking tools are low risk, but the essay writer and AI to Human rewriter may violate your school's policy. Check it first.
